Welcome to the 2023 School Year,
A special welcome to our new families, both in Prep and throughout the school. We hope that you find us a welcoming, inclusive and friendly community. Next week, at the Parent Info Sessions, will be a great opportunity to meet and greet again, remembering that last year we had to send out the Parent Info via a video.
Change to School Routine for 2023
We are trialing a change to our Morning Tea and Lunch routines, which involves having the students play first, and then eat. This has been instigated in several local schools (and beyond) with the overall feedback being quite positive, in that the students are more settled at the end of the break, after eating and more settled as they head back into the classroom.
So while the break times are the same, the activities have changed :
Morning Tea: (Preps still eat first for MT)
10:45 (15 mins) Yrs 1-6 play time.. toilet/ wash hands
11am (15mins)Year 1-6 eat
11:15 Into class
Lunch:
12:45 (30mins) Prep to Yr 6 play time...toilet/ wash hands
1:15 (15mins) Prep to Yr 6 eat
1:30 Into class
Staff will be monitoring student behaviour, attitudes, etc over the coming few weeks, knowing that for some students it will take a while for them to get used to the change. Parents, please note that all classes have an established "Snack Attack/ Fruit Break" or similar at about 9:30 each morning to help fill tummies to last until 11am.
We will be looking for parent feedback after a few weeks of the trial and will share with you what we notice/ experience here at school. Thank you for your support with this.
Looking further ahead, in Week 7 we have School Photo Day which does involve some preparation, both at our end and for you as Parents/ Carers. Please read the following carefully.

School Photo's are being taken on Tuesday 7th March. Full Summer Uniform to be worn on Photo Day.
Our photographers for this year will be advancedlife Photographers.
Envelopes for ordering have been distributed today to each child for you to order your school photos. Ordering can also be done online. Please remember to use the Online Code which is printed on the envelope if you are ordering online.

School photography information:
- Online orders - do not require an envelope returned to your school
- Sibling Photos - Don’t forget to pre-order your sibling photos online up to 24 hours before photo day. We provide your school with a list of sibling orders right up to the day of photography, so no one misses out. If you miss the online order deadline, you can submit a completed sibling order envelope first thing in the morning of the day of photography, so your school is aware you want the photo taken and can bring your children together in time for it. Sibling photographs only apply to children enrolled at your school. Please note not all schools offer sibling photos. Sibling Photo envelopes are available from the school office, if you choose to have a Sibling Photo.
- Late fees - a late fee will be applied to each package purchased after photo day due to the additional cost of producing these packages separately
- Package delivery - School photographs will be returned approximately 6 weeks after the day of photography. Please note this delivery timeframe is dependent on proofing and additional photography days at your school.
