Library Borrowing

Class browse and borrow sessions have begun so please ensure your student has their library bag on the day their class visits the library (see your class communication for details). Year 6O were happy to select and borrow books for their home and classroom reading on Wednesday.

Lunch-time Sessions

Students are welcome to spend the lunch-time play session in the library each Wednesday where they can read, draw, create with paper, play board games and work on puzzles.

Our Year 6 Library Councillors and volunteer students began their library service this week by unwrapping our new whiteboards.

Prep and Year 1 Library Lessons

These lessons will provide an opportunity for students to;

• give a personal response to our shared stories
• make connections between the story and their experiences and knowledge
• retell the main parts of the story. 

Above all, I hope to build on these students' love of stories so they will be keen readers into the future.
