APA (Acting) News

Dear Parents and Carers,

First of all, thank you to parents of students Yrs 3-6 for the support shown, preparation and encouragement given to your children with regards to the Swimming Lessons this week. This is the first time, in quite a while, that I have had to organise this week of swimming lessons and I went along yesterday, on the bus, to see how it was going. 

I have to say, that the whole shuttle system of buses, 30min lessons, in and out of the Glennie Aquatic Centre was most efficient. On top of that, there were minimum students not participating and all students were participating in lessons, targeted at their ability/ skill level, with strong swimmers in Yr 3 swimming alonside Yr 6 students.

I do take this opportunity to encourage those of you, with children who are NOT confident at all in the pool to seriously consider enrolling your child in a swimming program sooner, rather than later, to build on the confidence and skills that have been developed this week. 

Tuesday, March 7 is our designated School Photo Day, with Advancedlife Photographers. If you require photos of your children as a Sibling group please contact the office for envelope/ payment details. On the day, sibling photos will start from 7:30am in the Mercy Centre so please remind/ take your children to the Mercy Centre up until 8:25am. Further opportunities for sibling photos will be during break times (morning tea and lunch) on this day.

All students, apart from Preppies, are required to wear their full, correct formal uniform, with neat, tidy hair, appropriate hair accessories, no excess jewellery etc. Thank you for your assistance with this. 

There will be a catch up Photo Day on Friday March 10 for any students who are absent on Tuesday.
