St Saviour's Primary Swimming Carnival 2024
St Saviour’s Primary Swimming Carnival was held on the 30th of January at Glennie Aquatic Centre.
Students from Year Three to Year Six competed in freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke and butterfly in both 50m and 25m events. The carnival concluded with a Year Six relay involving the four houses. All students put in a mammoth effort in both swimming and cheering on the day. It was a tough competition, but Xavier was the overall winning house, with McAuley winning the relay. Age champions for the day are listed below. Congratulations to those students who are representing St Saviour’s Primary at the Catholic and Central Zone swimming carnivals.

Fitness Club
Fitness club is a fun way for your child to work on their fitness with their peers in preparation for the SSPS Cross Country in the last week of Term One. These sessions are offered to students in Year Three to Year Six. Fitness club will run every Tuesday and Thursday morning from 7:15am - 8am starting on Tuesday the 6th of February 2024 and running till Thursday 21st of March 2024. Your child is welcome to attend all sessions, once a week or whatever suits your family schedule. These sessions will be run by Mrs McHugh, Mrs Wagner, Mr Logan and myself. Permission (Prep – Year Two)
I have sent out a notification via Parent Portal which requires you to give permission to sporting events for 2024. I have streamlined to process to make it much more manageable for all involved. This means that you will only need to complete one permission form for all sporting event your child is involved in for 2024. The permission form outlines all sporting events/activities. Zone and Darling Downs Trials
All Zone and Darling Downs trials will be placed on Parent Portal. Please check Parent Portal regularly or set up notifications on your phone if you wish for your child to be eligible to trial for Zone and Darling Downs sporting teams as you will be required to obtain paperwork from myself. I am unable to nominate students after the closing date so please make sure you do keep an eye on Parent Portal. Any questions, please contact me at brendan.luck@twb.catholic.edu.au.
