Middle Leader News - Drama Festival

Dear Parents,

It has been an absolute pleasure this semester to teach the whole school in their weekly drama lessons and witness students flourish in their ability to perform and be confident in using their voice.  In the last two weeks, students performed on the stage for their assessment, with some students being successful in making it to the semi-finals of our Drama Festival and this week to the Grand Final.  During our performances for Drama Festival, all students worked on incorporating many skills such as voice projection, articulation, connecting movement to voice and engaging the audience in their performance.  Drama is such an important skill for all students, and it has been truly amazing to see all students feeling safe in the drama space and be willing to have a go up on stage, right from Prep to Grade 6.

Our Prep students had their first performance on stage and loved every minute.  Their enthusiasm was contagious and their were some strong performers in the group who will do well next year in their individual poems.

Congratulations to the following students who made it to the Grand final and received a medal for their performance:
