Darling Downs Readers’ Cup Competition 

Our team, Maya Adams, Estelle Harlen, Gorgi Saad and Georgina Sullivan performed very well at this regional competition hosted by Highlands College. The team placed 5th out of 31 teams! They are to be congratulated for reading the 5 set novels and remembering enough detail in each story to answer the 50 questions asked on the day. Special thanks to Mr Adams and Mrs Sullivan for providing transport to and from the event. 

 Family Book Club 

Our Term 2 chat over afternoon tea last Wednesday was lively. After considering some of the new books available in the library, we chose The Lost Library by Rebecca Stead and Wendy Mass for our Term 3 read.

We would love more families to join us! Please consider getting your family a copy of The Lost Library ($12.00 online at Big W books or Amazon), reading together and coming along to our chat which will be held after school in Week 8 next term.

Overdue Items 

Thanks for supporting your students to find and return overdue items. Following our policy, any unreturned items from Term 1 2024 will be invoiced early in Term 3.  

Holiday Reading 

Students have all had an opportunity to borrow library books for the holidays so please encourage them to read during the break.
