Dear Parents
Welcome back to Term 2. It is an interesting way to start the term with all of the short weeks. It can be a little tricky to get some consistency and predictability with routines. No doubt it will not be long until the broken weeks are long forgotten, and we are well into the swing of things.
Next Thursday the 8th of May we are excited to invite all the Mothers and mother figures in our community to celebrate Mother’s Day as a community with a movie Night. We will be holding the event on our beautiful Primary oval in a picnic style. We will have various food vans on site to enable families to purchase food if they would like. All families are welcome to bring their own picnic rugs, outdoor chairs, blankets, food etc. If you are able to attend, please fill out the attached form to help us get an idea of numbers for the night.
Next Sunday I hope that all the mothers and mother figures feel appreciated and loved. Sometimes in the busyness of ‘life’ it is easy to assume that the people who mean so much to us, know how we feel about them and that we appreciate everything they do for us. As a school community, we certainly are grateful to all of our mothers, grandmothers, and those who care like mothers for all they do, who they are, what they give us and most of all for the love they show to their families.
Loving God, help us to remember that as we show love to mothers everywhere, we are spreading the light of your love in the world. Help us to be that light.
Amen.
Enjoy the last long weekend for a little while and the beautiful Autumn weather.
