Darling Downs Athletics Carnival
The spirit of competition and camaraderie was on full display as students from St Saviour’s Primary School proudly represented their school at the Darling Downs Athletics Carnival, held on the 1st and 2nd of September in Toowoomba. The two-day event brought together young athletes from across the region, showcasing talent, determination, and school pride. From sprints, long jump to shot put, our students gave it their all, with many achieving personal bests and demonstrating outstanding sportsmanship. The carnival was held across two venues: track events at The Glennie School and field events at O'Quinn Street Oval. The atmosphere was electric, and our students rose to the occasion with enthusiasm and resilience. We’re thrilled to announce that Alfie Benvenuti received a silver medal in the 80m age sprint, a testament to his speed, focus, and hard work. Alfie’s achievement is a proud moment for our school and an inspiration to his peers.
Thank You to Our Supporters - A heartfelt thank you to the parents who supported our athletes throughout the carnival. Your encouragement and dedication make these experiences possible and memorable. We look forward to seeing more of our students thrive in future sporting events.
