Term 4 in the Library
More great reading opportunities await our students across the term with a readers bingo game, weekly browse and borrow and lunch-time access each Tuesday and Wednesday. Our older students will be encouraged to use their reading power to access information that connects them to real world issues of sustainability and caring for our living planet. All students are expected to engage in reading for pleasure, to use the power of reading for joy and relaxation.
Significant Dates:
Week 6 (beginning 11/11) - Last week for borrowing library items until Week 8 Summer Reading@Home borrowing.
Week 7 (beginning 18/11) - All student loans due
Week 8 (beginning 25/11) - Summer Reading@Home borrowing Tuesday and Wednesday lunch-times and afternoon from 3.00 pm - 3.20 pm
Notification of Overdue Loans
This term I'm trialing the process available through our new database AccessIt for following up overdue items. Reminder letters will be sent home once items are two weeks overdue and again at four weeks. After these 2 notices, outstanding items will be referred to the office and a replacement cost will be included in the next account or a separate invoice may be generated for immediate payment. Next year I am planning for reminders will be sent via email.
Thank you for your co operation with this process which allows us to maintain our collection through the use of fair and consistent practices.
