OFFICE NEWS

Term 1 School Fees:

Term 1 school fees are now overdue.  Thank you to those families who have finalised their Term 1 school fee account.

Volunteer Register forms:

Please remember to send back your volunteer register forms as soon as possible.  It is a requirement that we keep a register of all the people who help in our school.  If you have misplaced these forms, please contact the office.

Coronavirus:

As the coronavirus (COVID-19) continues to evolve, it is important to remember that effective hand and sneeze/cough hygiene is the best defence against viruses and can help prevent the spread of illness.

Lead by example and encourage your children to:

  • wash their hands regularly with soap and water, before and after eating, and after going to the toilet
  • use alcohol-based hand sanitiser if soap is not available
  • cover coughs and sneezes with a tissue or the inside of their elbow
  • dispose of tissues in the bin immediately
  • if they are unwell, stay at home and avoid contct with others such as touching, kissing or hugging.

Individual Chess Competition

Congratulations to the seven children who competed in the Individual Chess Competition at Highlands Christian School on Tuesday 3 March 2020.

James Ottobrino, Kruz Leifels and Cooper Dunlop (year 3) all competed in the Novice Section in a pool of over 100 children from a number of schools.  This was their first time competing in an individual competition and they did themselves and their school proud. Well done boys!

In the Open Section, there were over 300 competitors.  Olivia Dunlop competed for the first time, with the regulars Kye McHugh, Dominic Seaby and Sean Darvall also competing.  All from Year 5, the students’ behaviour was excellent, and they were very competitive in such a large field.  Great job!
