St Saviour’s Primary School Athletics Carnival 2020
(Week Three and Four)
In Week Three students competed in Shotput (3-6) and Shotput using a foam shot (Prep – 3) and what a close competition it was (Photos Attached). I was again very impressed by the student skill level and sportsmanship. Results from Shotput are below.

Our mighty sprinters - congratulations to everyone who ran so well and gave your best.
Over the four weeks of the athletics carnival, students gained points for their houses by participating in different events. On Tuesday of Week Three and Four, all grades competed in relays, ball games and sprints. All students did a fantastic job and so much fun was had. All points were calculated and Coolock was the winner of the ball games and McAuley won the relays. The most points scored in the field events was by Goretti who was also the overall winner of the St Saviour’s Primary Athletics for 2020. I want to say a big thank you to our Year Six leaders who showed great leadership for the duration of the carnival.

FREE Afterschool NRL Sessions (Year 3 – Year 6)
NRL has been organised through Sporting Schools to deliver NRL sessions on Wednesday afternoons from 3:15pm – 4:15pm from the 19th of August 2020 to the 9th of September 2020 (four weeks). There are only 30 spots available for this opportunity for your child to come and try NRL in a fun and safe environment. The first 30 parents to email me will secure the spots for this afternoon activity. Please email brendan.luck@twb.catholic.edu.au. Please note that no teacher will be at these sessions and they will be run by a representative from NRL.
Softball Star
Congratulations to Evie King on being successful for the Darling Downs softball team. Evie is also a member of the Toowoomba U/14 Team. We wish you all the best with this fantastic opportunity.
