Daily Routine - St Saviour’s Primary School, Toowoomba

School Hours  for Prep to Year  6

8:10am	Supervision begins (no child should be at school before 8am unless supervised in a music or sport program or if they are attending Before School Care). Students are to wait quietly until teacher on duty is present and has opened Mercy Centre doors. Then children may play handball outside in the playground area, no running games in the morning.
8:25am	Students enter the Mercy Centre in readiness to line up for class.
8:30am	School begins: Teachers collect students from the Mercy Centre.
10:45am- 11:15am	Morning Tea Break
12:45pm – 1:25pm	Lunch
2:50pm	School Concludes - Prep only
3:00pm	School Concludes - Years 1 to 6 (Teacher supervision until 3.30pm on Perth St and Lawrence St)
3.30pm	All children should be collected by this time - any children not collected by this time are brought back into the office area.

Morning Tea Procedures

In order to safeguard the children during the morning tea break the following procedures have been set in place.

 10:45am

The children are seated outside the classroom or in a designated eating area for 10 minutes to eat morning tea.  At 11:00am they are released to play. Under supervision of teachers, children play in their designated area of play until the bell is rung.

This is a signal for children to stop play, go to the toilet and wash their hands.

11:15am

Children assemble in designated areas and wait for the arrival of the class teacher.

Lunch Time Procedures

In order to safeguard the children during the lunch break the following procedures have been set in place.

Bell 12:45 – 12:55pm	Under the supervision of the class teacher, children remain seated outside in eating area or in a designated eating area and eat their lunch.
Bell 1:00pm	Children proceed to their designated areas of play.  The children are supervised by teachers at all times.  Verandas, classrooms, in between the classroom buildings, are *out of bounds* as they are unsupervised areas.
Whistle 1:25pm	This is a signal for children to stop play, go to the toilet and wash their hands.
Bell 1:30pm	Children are assembled in designated areas and are met by their teacher.
