We aspire to educate and form students who are challenged to live the Gospel of Jesus Christ and who are literate in the Catholic and broader Christian tradition so that they might participate critically and authentically in faith contexts and wider society (Religious Education, BCE 2013, p. 10).
This vision for Religious Education is expressed in our school’s Vision and Mission Statement.
Religious Education consists of two distinct but complementary dimensions.
St Saviour’s Primary School seeks to understand and utilise the distinctiveness and complementarity of these two dimensions of Religious Education in the holistic education and the formation of students.
The teachers follow the Religious Education Curriculum for the Archdiocese of Brisbane (2013) in developing their RE program.
Our school programs, activities and experiences for the classroom learning and teaching of religion and the religious life of the school are responsive to religious diversity, while being faithful to the Catholic Christian identity of the school.
